|24th Annual Community Intergroup Seder|
The 24th Annual AJC Community Intergroup Seder will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 11:45am-1:15pm, at the Mayerson JCC in Amberley Village.
Celebrate the ageless ritual of the Jewish holiday of Passover, the festival of freedom, with participants of varied religious and ethnic backgrounds at the 24th annual AJC Community Intergroup Seder. Dozens of church groups, public officials, dignitaries, community leaders, and students from local private and parochial high schools and colleges will attend and participate.
“Seder” literally means order. It is called this because the service is done in a certain order which takes the reader from slavery to freedom. The Passover Seder is performed in much the same way, in the same order, by Jews all over the world.
Rabbi Matthew Kraus, director of Undergraduate Studies, Department of Judaic Studies, University of Cincinnati, will officiate at the popular event. The Seder includes ritual foods, retelling of the highlights of the story of Exodus, and songs, prayers, questions and answers.
